Aether Release Notes
This is version 1.0.1 of Aether. The biggest change in this release is the inclusion of an Italian localization of Aether. If you would be willing to help translate Aether into another language, please contact me at andrew@aetherlog.com . This version also includes several bug fixes and improvements and is recommended for all users. See below for a complete list of changes.
New Features and Improvements
- Aether now includes an Italian localization. Thanks to Normando, IZ6FXS!
- The Google Maps button is now in the toolbar by default.
- Added support for the North Carolina QSO Party.
- Added support for the Wisconsin QSO Party.
- The Station/Contest Info and Notes windows now remember their most recent positions when Aether is started up.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed several typos in the built-in help.
- Fixed a bug that caused ADIF import to fail for ADIF files generated by certain applications.
- Aether now supports the county (CNTY) field in ADIF files for both import and export.
- Aether now supports import/export of zip codes in ADIF files using a custom field (app_aether_zip).
- The ADIF band field is now properly supported even when frequency has not been entered.
- Band and CQ Zone are now properly copied during copy/paste operations.
- Fixed a bug that caused Cabrillo export to fail in rare instances with certain invalid exchanges in the NA QSO Party.
Known Issues
- Power setting is not read from most Yaesu rigs. This is because most Yaesu rigs do not support reading this data over the CAT connection. The power field will be hidden for these Yaesu rigs in a future update.
- VoiceOver will not read the time field's value. This is a known issue and will be fixed in a future update.
